I wore jeans to church today. And so did some of my friends! :D I don't know why I feel more "real" in jeans. I think I'll just call it the Velveteen Rabbit factor and let it go at that.
I would totally do it, but it makes me feel twitchy (my wearing jeans, not other folks doing it). I would love to feel a bit liberated in jeans at church, but something in my liturgical upbringing I think might give me a seizure if I tried it.

Guess what! In our church here in NJ we have a Saturday night service for youth called re-Church and the attire is jeans - all ragged and what not!
The idea is to make people feel more comfortable...
